Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

InvoiceFree("we", "us") is a free online invoice generator. This policy explains what data the service handles and what your rights are. Questions: [email protected].

Your invoice data stays on your device

Everything you enter into the invoice generator — your business details, client details, line items, logos, notes, saved drafts, and invoice history — is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to or stored on our servers. PDF invoices are generated entirely in your browser.

Because we never receive this data, we cannot access, recover, or delete it for you. You can erase it at any time using the app's data management controls or by clearing your browser's site data. Exports you download are saved only to your device.

What we do collect

  • Analytics with your consent. If you accept cookies in the consent banner, we load Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how the site is used. Google sets cookies and processes usage data under the Google Privacy Policy. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded.
  • Cookieless analytics. We use DataFast to count aggregate page visits (pages viewed, referrer, device type). It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.
  • Error and performance monitoring. If the site encounters an error, a technical report (error details, browser and OS version, IP address) is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) so we can diagnose and fix bugs. For a small sample of visits, Sentry also receives performance measurements such as page load timing. See the Sentry Privacy Policy.

Some of these providers process data outside the EEA (notably in the United States) under appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

  • cookieConsent — remembers your accept/decline choice. Expires after 365 days.
  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics cookies, set only after you accept. Expire after up to 2 years.

To withdraw analytics consent, delete the cookieConsent cookie in your browser (or clear site data) — you will be asked again on your next visit.

Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics cookies.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — error monitoring and keeping the service secure and working.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Note that your invoice data is stored on your own device — we hold no copy of it, so requests about it are handled directly by you through your browser.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be visible on this page.
